Expansion Project (Fusion Funk) Saturday 10/19

October 19, 2019 10:00 PM until October 20, 2019 01:00 AM

Expansion Project grew out of the passion that longtime friends Anthony Tilotta and Matthew Silva had for creating and playing music to a live audience. After realizing that they needed a drummer in this keyboard/bass duo, the search was over in 2016 when they met Zamere Williams. The bond was immediate. The chemistry in & out of the studio was as if they have known each other for years, resulting in this inseparable power-trio who have been creating music together ever since.

Expansion Project’s evolving sound mixes Jazz Fusion dynamics with Funky high energy dance rhythms that keep people on their feet! Electronic/Computer experimentation has recently been added to their live sets, which gives this band an even more modern sound then ever before. They take the most pride in their live performances, when creativity and raw passion for music translates into a truly unique visual & audible experience.

Over the past year they have been focused on recording their first album "Conscious Tortoise" and are humbled to have had the opportunity to work with so many great people including Grammy award winning record producer / engineer - Phil Nicolo.

“The funky music of Expansion Project is exploding into the music scene, so if you haven’t heard of them yet, you’re about to! With the release of their album Conscious Tortoise…it’s obvious they are ready to tell us what they’re all about. Raging jams, sassy funk and instrumental soundscapes with the likes of TAUK..”
- The Jamwich

“Although it may appear to be a 4-5 piece band to the native ear, Conscious Tortoise is a testament in trio sound and the space it fills by its 3 members who push the boundaries of Jazz and Funk.”
- 215 Music

“We see music as an incredible gift with no bigger reward then to share it with others. We are consistently driven to expand our sounds & ideas with love and passion that NEVER stops as we continue to move forward”
