Home Grown is working hard to exhibit and support local fine arts. Here’s how: New and fresh artists are exhibited each month starting from the first Monday until the last Sunday, roughly four weeks. A wide and diverse array of styles are always considered to keep things fresh and exciting as well as different age groups and professional status. We are proud to do this because it creates a artistic forum for local artists and it fortifies the artistic culture that Home Grown Café illuminates and is known for. Displaying art is so important on so many levels in a social setting like HG because it brings the sense of energy and newness that people look for and it liberates artists to continue on with the preservation of their fine arts which is so important to the preservation and continuation of civilized man.
What is great as well is some artist like to hold an opening, usually the second Monday after their work has been hung. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk with the artist and learn more about what they were trying to say. All works are usually for sale and proceeds go to the artist to help further their artistic endeavours. Supporting the arts is in fact supporting oneself creating a better world and a better state of being. It is a wonderful thing to hear the diverse crowd Home Grown attracts in dialogue about each month’s exhibit. It is exhilarating. We hope you’ll join in.
